Calendar days, not a ticking timer
The tool subtracts your reference date from your departure date. Tomorrow is one day away, and a departure on the reference date is zero days away. It ignores departure times and flight timezones, so daylight-saving changes do not add or remove a calendar day.
Use the countdown to plan backwards
- A few weeks out: agree shared gear and review bookings.
- A week out: check the forecast and start the packing list.
- The day before: pack the bag and write a short list of things still in use.
- Departure day: check those final items and the time you need to leave home.

Common questions
Does the countdown include departure day?
It counts date boundaries. If you count from Monday to Tuesday, the result is one day; counting from Tuesday to Tuesday gives zero.
Does it update automatically every midnight?
No. The reference date is filled from your device when the page loads. Reload the page or change that date for a fresh countdown.
